Hi! My name is Christine Wu and I'm excited to teach at Ison Springs Elementary! I have taught the visual arts from preschool, all the way up to teaching seniors at the high school level. I've always loved creating art since I was young and now I have the honor to teach it! I am a recent Masters graduate from the University of Georgia where I furthered my studies in art education and received my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Art Education, concentrating in Drawing and Painting at Georgia State University. I believe in art's ability to foster creative and critical thinking skills, to provide opportunities of collaboration and understanding, and to encourage students to be active participants and creators in our world. Students in art will be creating and experimenting with a variety of mediums, exploring new artists and art from cultures around the world, and discovering how art can be used to create meaning. We will be working on art projects throughout the year, which will be displayed throughout the school, at our school's art show and shared with you at home. I anticipate a wonderful and creative year and look forward to meeting all of you! Click on the blue button to the right to view my Ison Springs Art Blog!
